Hello, Friday! I missed you!
Last Friday, when I got home, I found this waiting for me at the front door. I’m such a wuss. I walked all the way around the house, through the back gate, through the back yard, to the back door with ALL of my stuff….just so my hand didn’t have to come near a lizard. Not a fan of little critters like that.
I made a very quick 24 hour trip to Austin that included LOTS of food {as always}, sitting around listening to a police scanner app with my sisters at 2 a.m., a fantastic church service, lunch with some besties, and a little wedding planning thrown in there.
I had my first Gordoughs experience. {So much for trying to eat healthier in the new year! ha!}.
I present to you the “Bring the Heath” donut. Fried dough full of cream cheese and heath bar goodness. I die. So good. Heath donut, meet my thighs.
My sister is going to have such a beautiful wedding! Her venue was holding an open house with several vendors. It was the first time I had the chance to see it in person. Gor-geous.
It was nice to get away and get my mind on other things, even if for a short time. The last several weeks have been long and challenging. I read this devotional the other day out of Jesus Calling, and it was spot on what I needed to hear. This reading and the scriptures encouraged me so much. Take a moment to read and reflect, and maybe it will bring you encouragement where you are too.
And then, this guy. Sam. One of my parents’ schnauzers {we’re a schnauzer family, apparently}. He was my lunch buddy yesterday. Such a ham.
Have a fantastic Friday and an amazing weekend!
If you’re curious to see what I’m up to during the week {I mean, who isn’t! haha}, you can follow me on Instagram @ likeasaturday. Feel free to send me your Instagram handles as well!

I was drawn in from Life Rearranged by the schnauzer. We have two: ages 11 and 14. They are awesome dogs.

The are awesome dogs! My parents have 2 and we have our little girl. They’re smart, sweet, and snuggly.
Thanks for stopping by!

I also had a lizard on my front door once and my neighbor had to come out and scare the thing away…

I’m really glad to hear I’m not the only one! And glad you had someone to come rescue you!
