Friiidaaayyyyyyy! I love it. I really do. Last weekend was cuhrazy busy, and I’m very much looking forward to a quiet weekend at home. The hubs and I have declared this weekend “Project Weekend”. Hooray! As always, I’m linking up with Jeanette at Life Rearranged for a little InstaFriday.
We are sports people, so having the NBA All Star weekend here was really exciting. We headed out to an event on Saturday and had a blast. We saw Robert Horry, Kenny Smith, I embarrassed Carl Landry by telling him he has the best smile in the NBA, and then I nearly ran over Dr. J. THE Julius Erving, y’all! Exciting times. And then I cheesed up with a James Hardin cardboard cutout. Success.
We hate ourselves, so we started P90X this week. You can add us to your prayer chain. Actually, I’m quite enjoying it. We’re not exactly following the manual to a T, but we are doing an intense workout every night instead of just sitting on the couch crying about Downton. {Also, shame on everyone who posted Downton spoilers without warning! Some of us are still on season 2. And prematurely broken hearted.}
Have I mentioned that we’re already enjoying spring? Oh, I have? We had a grand total of one beautiful day this week…and it was totally gorg {the rest were dark and rainy}. Mom and I went to a nearby park to walk on our lunch break {I work with my parents. And I love it.}
I threw on my walking tennies with my skinny jeans. I was totally rocking the same look I worked in 5th grade. Tennis shoes and tapered jeans. Don’t try to tell me the 90′s weren’t awesome.
Speaking of the 90′s, this gem barely snuck in before Y2K…and it snuck into my drove home last night. And it was awesome. I turned it up to 11. What chick flick was this on?
I got to have a lunch date with my Mom yesterday at one of my favorite places. I love me some mediterranean food. It was delish and time with my Momma was awesome.
And my Mom is really awesome at spotting celebrities. Or sorta celebrities? She was ordering some food to go for my Dad, and calmly walked back over to the table to let me know that someone from the Bachelor was sitting over there, and I should come look. I have only ever watched one season of The Bachelor, so I was pretty sure I wouldn’t recognize this mystery person. Lo and behold. It was Mr. Heartbreaker himself. Brad Womack…the bachelor from the one and only season I’ve ever watched. I got all trembly, but managed to snap a sneaky iPhone pic. Because I am a creeper.
Anywho – I’m really excited that the weekend is upon us, and I’m ready to get my DIY on. Speaking of which, last night’s Parks and Rec had the most fantastic Ron Swanson quote. Spoken like a true DIYer.
I hope you all have a great weekend! If you want to follow me on Instagram, you can find me @likeasaturday. You know…in case I find anymore Dancing with the Stars caliber celebs.
P.S. Don’t forget to enter the Stella & Dot giveaway if you haven’t already!

Love that you wore skinny jeans and tennis shoes!!! I got stuck in major traffic on the way home on Wednesday. I made it enjoyable by playing my Spice Girls Pandora Station
Its always fun to go back and listen to old music.
Hope the Project Weekend goes well.

You can never go wrong with any type of 90′s Pandora station, especially when stuck in traffic. Spice Girls was a nice choice.

Ha – I’m always happy to entertain!
I finally got my wits about me and googled the song – it has been in a few shows and movies that I’ve never seen. So, I don’t know where I got the idea of it being in a chick flick. I guess it just sounds very chick flicky?
