Top o’ the mornin’ to ya! Is anyone else getting excited about St. Patrick’s Day? Since a good portion of my heritage is Irish, and the fact that the holiday usually landed during Spring Break, I’ve always enjoyed St. Patty’s Day. I have many happy memories of seeing the San Antionio Riverwalk dyed green, or listening to the bagpipe players downtown. I don’t do a lot of decorating for the holiday, but I have my kitchen table set and ready to celebrate!
I put together a St. Patty’s Day table with a lot of green, a few touches of gold, and of course, a few bits of rainbow!
I started by layering a sheet of green checkered wrapping paper as my table runner and sprinkling it with shamrock confetti. I pulled out my white plates and recycled glass goblets for the occasion.
I made the centerpiece by placing a moss ball into a galvanized tub that I already had on hand. I layered a white salad plate and gold charger as the base of the centerpiece….complete with chocolate gold coins!
I used a rainbow patterned scrapbook paper to make napkin rings. I also set an Irish Blessing at each place setting.
For a little extra luck of the Irish, I made “Blarney Stone” place cards by writing names onto smooth river rocks with a chalk pen.
I added a little extra detail to the drinking glasses with some washi tape {I’m starting to become obsessed with this stuff!}.
This was a really fun table to put together! A little whimsical, a little crazy, very green, and very lucky!
How are you planning to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? Do you do any decorating for the holiday?
Have a great Monday!
