Happy Friday! How has your week been? Mine has been much busier than anticipated, but it’s been a great one!

Over the weekend, I took advantage of our springy weather and started work on the back yard. I’m really excited about the plans I have to spruce it up out there! In the midst of power washing and spray painting, I scored some awesome vintage freebies. I’m so excited about these two items. The bread box has found its home atop the fridge, and I think I have the perfect place for the clock.

Monday was an adventurous day. I took the day off and headed on a day trip with my Mom. We met up with my sister in the Hill Country to take care of some wedding items. While out and about, we stopped at this cutie cafe for lunch. It was delish and completely adorable!

I enjoyed two major shopping ventures. While we were out of town, we found the Pottery Barn Outlet. This place is like Disneyland for grown ups!! I scored my awesome rug deal here. I kinda wanted to run out with my purchase before they realized how ridiculously low they had priced it. Yesterday I had to run to Ikea for work. Both shopping trips were pretty crazy due to 8 bajillion spring breakers every where….but Ikea also had some other interesting characters. An almost storm trooper and a red knight? I’m confused.

The biggest event of the weekend was my sweetie’s birthday on Wednesday! Isn’t he the cutest?? I have loved celebrating him this week! And there’s still more celebrating to come! Next year is the big 3-0, so I’ve been giving him a hard time about his youth escaping him. He’s a good sport.
