Gooood morning! How was everyone’s weekend? Ours was great and productive! I am sore in places I didn’t know could be sore from all of the yard work I did this weekend. I can’t wait to show you the progress we’ve made! It’s made me really excited to get things done out there!
The only thing I bought for this table setting is the nest with Easter eggs, which came from the Dollar Spot at Target.
Everything else is something I already had. I just started “shopping the house” and grabbing a few things that looked Springy to me. I didn’t want anything to match too much. I wanted it to feel a little more natural and relaxed. It feels like Easter breakfast at a farm to me.
I’m a firm believer in low centerpieces. I love a pretty table, but if it gets in the way of the fellowship that should happen around food, then there’s no reason to even have one. I did want to give this cute little nest a but of height, so I stacked it on top of one of my blue cake stands.
I was excited to pull out my vintage linens. I haven’t used them much, but I just love them! These white plates are what we use for special occasions. When we registered for wedding gifts, we didn’t register for china. China was something I either wanted to inherit, or find a really great vintage set somewhere. We did register for two sets of dishes — our every day dishes, and these white “special” dishes. I love having a set of white to layer with other colors and textures.
The small hobnail, milk glass bud vases were a flea market find, and the roses are straight from our garden.
I’m really happy with how it turned out! I’m thinking that after Easter, I may just replace the nest and eggs with a bouquet of fresh flowers. This table cloth just makes me too happy to put away just yet!
I hope you all have a great week leading up to Easter!
