It’s Fall! – Let’s Gather ‘Round the Table

I am so excited to share my Fall table with you all today! I know it’s not technically Autumn yet {believe me – it is HOT outside!}, but September is good enough for me! Just the thought of cool weather makes me giddy, and Pumpkin Spice Lattes are here, so Fall it is! :)

thermos

I was inspired when I stumbled across this collection of vintage thermi {multiple for thermos ;) } at a local antique store. These scream “Fall” to me – the colors, pattern, and the thoughts of hot apple cider. I knew they would make the perfect Autumn centerpiece.

I whipped up a quick drop cloth table runner as the base layer to my table setting. The thermi were set on one of my rustic chalkboards. I always like to bring in natural elements into my Fall decor, but I’m definitely toning it down a bit from previous years {you can see last year’s Fall tablescape here}. I stuck a few sprigs of faux berries in between each thermos to bring a bit more of the outdoorsy feel in. This centerpiece is looking a bit Wes Anderson inspired to me. Think Moonrise Kingdom.

Fall Table Setting

For the table settings themselves, I just used our every day dishes {Target circa 2009}. The metallic bronze tones on our plates fit right in with a warm, rustic Fall scheme. The napkins are vintage linens with a delicate crocheted edge.

Fall Table SettingEach setting is topped with a wooden acorn and a leaf-shaped chalkboard place card. The acorns and leaves were both Hobby Lobby finds. I added a bit of gold leaf Rub-n-buff to the acorns {leaving plenty of the wood tone visible} and chalkboard paint to the balsa wood leaf cutouts.

And now, I will leave you with some pretty pictures. :)
