A Fall Porch – Inspired by the Pumpkin Patch

Good morning! As I told you yesterday when I showed you my Fall wreath, today I’m sharing my front porch all gussied up for the season! My jumping off point was my blue quatrefoil rug. I stuck that out there this summer, and I’m just not ready to put it away yet. Blues always work well with Fall decor, since blue and orange are complementary colors. It brings in something a bit unexpected, but still meshes well.

A Fall Porch - Inspired by the Pumpkin PatchI always use a mix of pumpkins and gourds in my Fall decor, especially on the porch. The colors and textures are too beautiful to not incorporate them! We don’t have a very large porch, so I keep the decor fairly minimal. I add a little height using apple buckets and wooden boxes. This year I used a wooden pie box {with a little shout out to my beloved State}.

A Fall Porch - Inspired by the Pumpkin PatchMy little porch reminds me of a pumpkin patch, which is one of my favorite Fall-time activities. So much fun and laughter to be had a pumpkin patch!

A Fall Porch - Inspired by the Pumpkin PatchMy leaf garland comes out every year. I thought about leaving it in the box, but it just didn’t seem like Fall without it. So the garland remains.

I screwed some eye hooks into the back and hung with twine I also already had on hand. Hooray for large, free chalkboards! I already have plans for this guy after Fall.
