Don’t forget your local dollar tree and dollar general stores too in addition to Hobo Lobo my favorite store of all time. I picked 5 damask pillow covers for a dollar each. They are great for removable inserts. It’s so easy to just stuff them and they slide right inside a pillow because the damask is so silky. Or if you need a long zipper for a dollar it’s easy enough to remove the zipper and use the remaining pillow case in other projects.

I just found your site and already am excited about it. Your stool turned into a small side table really caught my eye as did the nightstand in your sister’s bedroom. I happen to have a small stool that I’ve been contemplating painting and it’s just like yours. I love re-purposing items. As a trade I am an accredited interior designer, but have retired and enjoy looking at the blogs of so many creative people – you being one. You don’t need a degree in interior design to be creative. You have inspired me to “get with the program” and finish all the projects I have started. Keep up the wonderful work. You are great. My entire house is yellow. Each room has a different accent color and I’m currently redoing my office in a modified BoHo look and my guest bedroom in a more “funky” traditional. I find castaway furniture and redo them and I think my latest nightstand I found for pennies, will become yellow. I have been tossing ideas around and couldn’t come up with one thing that really “sang to me”, until I saw the nightstand you and your sister did for her “cute little apartment”. I’ll take my fabric in to get paint to match and will do the same. Yay! Another project. My friends will say “I thought you retired?” Is there such a thing?

Hi… I found you when I was searching for ideas for organizing my pantry. In one of your pantry photos, I noticed a circular item that looked like clothespins holding tea packets? I was wondering if you have the details on that somewhere, or at least can tell me what the round thing in the center is?
    Thanks,
    Melissa

I love your work! I am wondering if I can get permission to use a photo from your site if I site my source?

Can you tell me where you got your chalkboard labels for the pantry baskets. I’m looking for something similar.
    Thanks!
